Well after downloading it and giving it a whirl it seems to work really well and was glad they came out with it although my favorite is channel is Sho Time because of the two shows Weeds and Dexter and for those of you who have not seen either you need to sit down in front of the tube and veg for a couple days but dotn worry if you can not do it now Dexters next season does not come out till the end of this year and Weeds the third season will be around the same time. Probably for sweeps weeks but anyways lets hope Shot Time gets a widget up and running so I can download and try it out and may just put it on my blog.

Have been busy working hard on several projects and now that several are done I believe it is only good times to come. All are web standards complaint with alot of CSS and some flash and video but they are complete. Over the next month I will be show casing my pet projects here in my blog and I ask you the readers to take a look at what I have created and let me know what you think about the designs. Now that the design phase is complete it os off to market the domain by submmiting them to the directories and so on. Sorry I have not had alot to read lately but when you see these websites I am sure you will understand why the long pause. I am anxious to get back to blogging but for now I must focus on the tasks at hand.

The W3C validator is already a great tool. With the help of developers like you, it can become even greater. ”

Would love to be in good with the Man the invented the internet going to have to give some time to improving this tool any thoughts from anyone would be great but I would like it to fix what ever is not valid so you could copy paste the valid code so publishers authoring tools could publish it.in Dreamweaver for example.

WaSP issues an open invitation to work with Assistive Technology vendors to help ensure greater support for standards-based web development techniques in software that enables access for millions of people worldwide.

When the Accessibility Task Force (ATF) was formed, we received feedback from designers and developers about their desire for better standards support in assistive technology.

Today, we announce the launch of the ATF’s Assistive Technology Initiative. We are issuing an open offer to assistive technology vendors to work with WaSP (and other groups where appropriate) to help ensure that assistive technology can benefit from a web standards-based approach to web development, design and programming.

By working together:

we will provide resources to examine and address perceived shortfalls in current assistive technology

we will help with developing test suites for use in assessing/addressing these issues

we will share our knowledge and expertise and help AT vendors share their extensive knowledge of their users with web developers and designers around the world

Web standards have always aimed to make the web a better place for all people, regardless of ability, and we hope that our collective efforts will help fulfill that promise.

We have begun the process of delivering this open invitation to Assisitive Technology vendors at conferences, trade shows, and industry exhibits, and will continue to invite those involved in building AT software and hardware to collaborate.

To work with them contact them: wasp@webstandards.org

An excellent way to get your foot in the door I may try out by sending in my resume and you should to if your into standards.

AJAX, Accessibility & Screen Readers

There’s something of an oxymoron going on there in the heading. Can you spot it? The words ‘accessibility’ and ‘AJAX’. They really are not the best of bed fellows, as many people have discovered. However, although many of us web professionals just ‘kinda know’ that AJAX is bad for web accessibility, when pushed many would not be able to say exactly why or how certain screen readers cope with content that’s been changed using AJAX (or using DOM Scripting methods that don’t make use of AJAX at all). One man who can claim to know a bit about it is James Edwards
